Don Weisinger Memorial Golf Tournament

History and Purpose

Established in 2011, our golf tournament commemorates the achievements of Don Weisinger, the Noble Energy Drilling Manager who coordinated the early efforts to develop a subsea response plan in the wake of the Macondo incident. Mr. Weisinger pulled together representatives from many companies, creating the critical mass that eventually formed HWCG.

Our members, service partners and colleagues gather annually to honor and remember Don's legacy. All proceeds from the golf tournament are donated to the American Cancer Society. Over the past four years, we've raised almost $50,000 for cancer research.

Prior to the start of the tournament, the day typically holds our annual stakeholder meeting and progress review to celebrate the year's accomplishments as we continue to advance the response system and enhance our technical capabilities.
